February
A lovely, relaxing week with lots of snow—good for tobogganing in the garden ! We have enjoyed local walks and watching wildlife in the garden. The birds are very hungry—a whole feeder of nuts gone every day although the 2 red squirrels had something to do with that too !
Wildlife seen from the cottage—robins, blackbirds, pheasant, blue tits, coal tits, great tits, jays, cormorant, dunnock, chaffinch, siskin, buzzard,, sheep, deer and to our delight nuthatches, red squirrels, oyster catcher and a great spotted woodpecker on the feeder. Such an education for our daughter.
We have been coming for years and, of course, will be back.
Oliver, Kathryn & Sophie. Manchester.
March
Our first visit to Scotland—blown away by the beautiful scenery on the doorstep. Have watched red squirrels, deer voles and lots of birds including woodpeckers and oyster catchers from the kitchen window.
The cottage has been carefully thought about and has everything you would ever need. It is homely and is the perfect place for a relaxing and and restoring get away
Ben & Beth, Bath.
April
When we arrived only a few shy little flowers showed up on the big tree in the garden—day by day more flowers opened and t was in full blossom on the last day !
A walk up Glen Lochay is a nice one to start with as there are beautiful views—the silence and peace there is overwhelming—compared to Amsterdam. Now heading home, unfortunately our stay in BPC has almost come to an end. It took a while for me finding a nice cottage in Scotland, but I am pretty sure I couldn’t find a better one than BPC. Beautiful sceneries when you walk out of the door, and with a bit more effort great views on the Loch.
Did some woodcutting for your future guest, and tried to get some bikes fixed, but unfortunately there was no pump.
Kjeld and Brenda, Amsterdam
(there were 3 pumps there the first week in April ! Peter)
May
Two weeks o f really lovely weather, it could not have been any better. The dogs had a great time as usual. Bridge Park Cottage has everything I need and a massive garden for the dogs to run in. I have had a lovely, relaxing holiday—just what I needed.
Rob, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Two weeks of hot weather, plenty of stags around and the usual wildlife—just perfect

Another great week. Glen Lyon is a favourite with its golden eagles. Its well worth buying bird food as it attracts many species plus a red squirrel.

Slip away as quietly as we arrived, neither man nor saviours contemplate this find this time.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Bridge Park Cottage, it was the perfect base for a successful week bagging Munro summits.
Nigel, Hampshire
The Bridge of Lochay Hotel is very welcoming and they really do give you 10% discount off your meals—they have a special facility on the till to ensure this !

We had a good time in and around your nice cottage. We came from Inverey near Breamar and had a lot of snow blizzards. However the Killin weather was dry and and sunny.
Every morning a stroll in the surrounding hills and in the evening up Glen Lochay.
Osprey in front of cottage, 2 golden eagles behind the longhouse . One made a stoop at Murlaganmore. Next morning I found the plucked remains of 2 very young lamps at the field beyond. Of course enjoyed all the other Scottish wildlife too .
At one morning my wive saw a man with a car at the gate, he just looked at the house. As he didn’t come to us or waved we got an extra lock on the gate before we went shopping in Killin. When we came back the lawn was mowed….oops ! He had to climb the fence.
So again thank you for letting your wonderful house in a beautiful spot. Hope to come back soon.
Ric & Gilze, Holland.
The cottage suited us very well, and a good time was had by all. Fortunately the weather was kind too, we had a lovely week.
The wild life is great, a bit of jammy bread on the wall will bring out the field mice, red squirrels and lots of birds. An oyster catcher and chicks in the field and bats everywhere.
The house is super, if a tea towel free zone.
Peter, Nottingham.
Sorry about the lack of tea towels—small oversight I fear, however supplies always left in the kitchen table draw. Peter & Victoria
July

Once again we enjoyed our break this summer and hope to book another break soon .
Thanks again
Andy, Nottingham.
I just wanted you to know more than anything as the cottage is so lovely.
We still had a great week, kids had a ball in the garden & cycling up & down the Glen.
Thanks
Tracy, Aberdeenshire.
Just a quick email to say thanks for our lovely stay at your cottage in Killin. Thomas, Amy, Jazz and I had a great time. Very good friends of ours (Robert and Sarah van den Berghe) have recently taken over ownership of the Outdoor Shop in Killin, so we spent the whole week catching up with them, their three children and the dogs.
My only feedback would be that the tea cups could be bigger. I’m not really being serious, but I did use the striped jug for my morning tea ☕️
Four new extra large cups now in the cupboard ! Peter & Victoria
With best wishes, and thanks again for our lovely stay. We’ll have to come back – I didn’t quite work my way through the “French Provincial Cooking Book” 😂
Gill.

Our 5th stay and will be back again.
Graham & Julie, Neil & Nichola, South Shields.
A great location, ideal for dogs and owners. Cottage clean, comfortable and well equipped. Heating and water good—hot tap in kitchen seems to have a mind of its own ! Red Squirrels, mice and weasel and many birds on the bird feeder. We also saw a golden eagle near Kenmore. Would certainly return to this cottage when we are back in Killin. Owners very approachable—managed to stay an extra day.
Glynis & Rex, Chesterfield.
Another nice week with lots of walks in a great setting.
